Norbert Steiger, a Swiss National, has over 30 years of experience in Finance and International Business. Norbert worked for EDS for 13 years in various positions starting as Finance Manager for Switzerland then progressing to Finance Director for Central and Eastern Europe and Ending up as CFO for the Emerging Markets with responsibilities over Central and Eastern Europe, the Eastern Mediterranean and the Middle East. Norbert then moved to the business side and was appointed as Executive Director for the Middle East before moving to SITA as Senior Vice President for New Ventures and Large Deals and the last 3 years of his 8 years with SITA he was appointed as the Regional Vice President for Latin America and the Caribbean’s.
Norbert is a partner in Hippo and was appointed as the CEO.
Norbert is fluent in German, English and French and conversant in Spanish and Italian and has travelled to over 60 countries during his career.
A chemist by profession, Tony is a veteran of the shipping industry with over 30 years experience; 19 years of which have cumulatively been spent in Korean shipbuilding, conversion and repair and 4 years of experience in the Chinese market. Working on behalf of coating companies, ship-owners and shipyards, he has had periods of employment in the offshore industry which have given him a valuable overview of the marine market from differing perspectives, including a 7 year period as an equity partner in a Malaysian company involved in the design, fabrication and utilization of marine vessels and equipment employed in the installation of submarine pipelines and cables. Latterly employed by a subsidiary of a major German ship-owning group, Tony was responsible for all commercial matters pertaining to marine project development.
Prior to the establishment of Hippo USA, Tony provided export-related consultancy services to small and medium sized marine equipment manufacturers in Korea and was a content provider and presenter at the Ocean Academy in association with the Maritime University of Busan.A partner in Hippo USA, Tony is responsible for design, engineering and manufacturing.
Brad MarcakHas over 30 years of sales / technical experience in the oil & gas, mining, and power generation industries, with 20 years of that in Latin America. Brad has been honored to have had the opportunity to work with major manufacturers in the introduction and development of products and markets in the afore mentioned industries. The wide range of sales and technical experience that Brad has, provides HIPPO USA with the ability to confidently present our services, products, and solutions. As a partner in Hippo USA, Brad is responsible for business development, strategic partnership development, and distributor / manufacturer relationships in the Americas.
William J. Hitters is an Argentine American with twenty years of managerial and entrepreneurial experience in the Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Steel and Mining industries. He began his career as an Engineer at Dow Corning and has worked at C-Level roles with global responsibilities in multinational companies such as AlliedSignal, Honeywell International and Tenaris. Also, he worked in the inception, funding and development of a start-up company in Argentina (Advanced Organic Materials) in the early 2000s.
Serving as IAPG Houston’s President for the 2015/16 period, in his last role before joining the Hippo Team he was General Manager for Unimin Corporation’s Energy Division, with a specific focus in Export Markets and Latin American business development. Unimin is the largest non-metallic minerals supplier in the World, and the main supplier of proppants to the North American oil & gas industry.
Mr. Hitters is fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French and Italian and has done business in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Eastern Asia. He has four US Patents and holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from ITBA (Instituto Tecnologico de Buenos Aires), a Master in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Arts in Diplomacy & International Relations from the University of London, SOAS.
He has been appointed as VP – Business Development for Hippo.
